Well I was at Brigder Bowl on Wednesday and it was awesome 3 FEET OF POWDER plus riding on awsome old Riblets all day long can't beat it. Fortunetly for me the snow that Cameron got covered up most of the rocks that were there. Great ski resort. I'll post pics of the lifts Cameron didn't post in my trip topic as to keep everything together. BTW Cameron do you know waht is up with those foundations above the top of Lone Peak at Big Sky it looked like a lift at some point went up that rigde up to the bowl accessed by the Tram.

Could they have been footings for some type of communications tower?

Is Superior Tramway an off-shoot of Riblet?

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.
"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

Superior Tramway/Aerial Engineering are basically the same company. Jim Ellis and his son John run both. Superior fabricates aftermarket Riblet parts, as well as general lift hardware, while AE doels lift mods, relocations, and new installations. Jim used to work for Riblet years ago, so I guess you could say the Superior is indeed an offshoot of Riblet. Iff you look closely the sheaves are identical (on the Challenger lift) but the rest of the lift is enough different that Ellis didn't infringe any patents.

Most likely. I wanted to go up there when I was at big ksy but it was all roped off and if I snuck up there, I was sure to get in some hot water from all the signs that said closed area. Plus it's kind of hard to sneak up the road since the lift operator for the ramcharger could easily see me.
