I was just wondering what everyone was doing for their winter break this year?

December 9th, I'm heading up to Kellogg, Idaho for two days and then to Big Sky for a week. While I'm there I plan to visit Big Sky, Moonlight and Bridger Bowl. I've tried to get ahold of the Yellowstone Club to see if I could get some pictures of the lifts there, but they don't seem to respond to e-mails. Once I leave Big Sky, I'm then going to Red Lodge for a day and then head down into Wyoming to hit up Jackson Hole and Grand Targee. I will try to get some pictures of Snow King while I'm there since I will be staying in Jackson. After that, I start to make my way west, where I will hit Sun Valley.

The trip will be about 2 weeks, but I hope to stop at visit some other smaller ski areas on the way to the big ones, like Lookout Mountain, Marshall Mountain and Montana Ski Bowl. :)

Anyway, there will be some new lift pictures coming your way within the next few months.

Sounds like a great trip. I hope they have a better year than two years ago - It looks promising.

I am going to fly back to Portland for a couple weeks, and then come back down to LA, and ski Mammoth for the last 10 days or so of break.

I actually have two free lift tickets for meadows this upcoming season so I hope the lift will still be running when I'm there. What I mean by that is that the tickets are good during APRIL only! :(

I'm in the same situation as Allan; you may have guessed by my posting of jobs that we're a bit shorthanded as well so management has 'strongly requested' that we take all our remaining vacation very soon (like about now). My parents-in-law are visiting for six days around Christmas, and my brother may come down as well.

Mammoth for me plus at least one day at June. I might meet up with Cameron after Christmas and go to Iron with some snowmobiles or just go to Homewood. ;)

Just sticking close to home with friends and family until around New Year's. Then, once all the holiday crowds have thinned somewhat it's time (hopefully) for a return pilgrimage to the Kootenays for a week of skiing at Red and a day or two at Whitewater. Bliss!

Winter break, whats that??

Well, my wife and I are heading out to Hawaii next week. We're there for 7 days before we head back home to Seattle. Other then that, thats about it for awhile. I've got a bunch of trips planned into Idaho and Montana over the next few weeks to observe our deicing operations in MSO, FCA, BTM HLN, BIL, GTF, BZN, SUN, IDA and BOI (sorry I'm used to doing everything in airport city codes). So while on the road, I'm going to pack the skis along and get some skiing in while in BZN, FCA, BOI and of course SUN.

Going to Pisten Bully service school next week... it's the closest thing we'll have to a break before winter!
