According to a source i found, the first three lifts installed at Great Gorge, NJ (now part of Mountain Creek) were installed by "Dolomite Ski Construction." It says that the company was located in Pine Island, NY - the same place where Borvig/Partek is located. I previously thought all of Great Gorge's to be Borvigs (and according to Hagen Scgulz, owner of Partek, the lifts were Borvig). On a search, i found a company called "Dolomite Construction Comapny" in Pine Island, NY. When i looked up their phone number, it said the number belonged to "Ropeway Construction & Service Corp."

My question is, what is/was Dolomite Ski Construction?

Dolomite most likely a ski lift installation company and not a lift manufacturer. Lift installation companies just install the lift, not manufacturer it. Mad River Lifts and Outback Construction are two companies that install lifts. However, there are some lift manufacturers that do install lifts, like Doppelmayr CTEC.

I hope that clears things up for you. :)

Have a look at Brad's site, the lift ads page. The first one is for Dolomite, with CTEC in the bottom corner of the ad
