I don't ever Remember seeing G lift @ copper. But the Superbee is on the map. I skied there when b and b1 was still there. And i don't remeber G. John, When did G get removed? and E is showing as a quad..... I remember riding the Yan Triple... that E replaced.

That is the 1998-1999 map; G was removed in the summer of '99. I'm surprised you don't remember it if you remember B and B-1, since G's bottom terminal was right between the Eagle and Flyer and crowded up the base area.

Negative, Ghostrider, it was a 1972 Heron double. I'll try to find a photo somewhere. B-1 was a Yan.

G had the usual Heron double chairs, no clips. The lift started just accross from the current ski school meeting area and ran to what is now the top of the park. The lift line runs under the flyer around tower 4 and is still visable, when the lift was removed the towers on the flyer where repositioned and shortend. I don't remember any riblet equipment at copper ever, all yan, heron, poma and a little dopp.

I'll just give y'all the whole list of removed lifts.
B: 1972 Heron double
B-1 1973 Yan double (same carriers as H, I, and J)
E: 1972 Heron double replaced by 1984 Yan triple
F: 1972 Heron double with bubbles
G: 1972 Heron double
I: 1973 Yan double (now Blackjack)
J: 1977 Yan double (now Mountain Chief)

Triple-E's carriers went to S-lift, while its gearbox, drive bullwheel, sheave assemblies (Doppelmayr), and lifting frames are on R-lift.

Copper has never had any Riblets nor centre-pole lifts.

I saw in the gallery section theres a note about C-1 being relocated by Yan. Was this lift built from the double E with a new Yan drive/tension and return?

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

Hey John, do you guys still have the bubbles for the flyer laying arround? I haven seen them on the chair in about 10 or 12 years and was just wondering what happened to them.

C-1 lift was actually the Molly Hogan over at A-Basin; when they bought all the new Yans in '79 Copper bought the old Molly and had Yan do the redsign. As for the bubbles- I believe they are over across the road from Keystone- in the landfill :---:

Yes it did. There is one left and hopefully it will end up on my front porch this summer when I can build a stand for it.

Weekends, holidays, and when C-1 breaks down (which happens less than you might think). Gem (or C) might be one of the original beginner surface lifts like we were discussing in another thread.

I certinly remember it being there for quite some time and all the old maps I have seen show it. Unless it was replaced but still runs the same line.
