I am an ordained minister, well I did it through the Life Church in Medesto, CA. So far I have officiated 2 weddings. Hey it made me a few hundred bucks, and the title Reverend William Wolfe. Its really nothing fancy, anyone can become ordained and do weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc. All you need to do is provide your credentials to your local county auditors office, or you local licensing bureau, and thats it. Well actually they will confirm your existence with the church that ordained you to make sure you are who you say you are.

A church near my house said 'Let there be light!' for the week they didn't have power. Then when it came back on, it said 'You'll be comfortable here, this church is prayer-conditioned"

A local Church had the following sign over the summer: (Sorry, I didn't get an actual picture of it)

CH_ _ CH
Do you know what's missing?
U R

I thought that was a pretty good one!

I think the Life Church of Modesto CA is strictly to ordain people through the mail. I know a few people besides yourself who have gone that route.

Yup. Exactly...

However since I am not a full-time church person, I dont get the tax breaks that are offered to clergy. :( But its fun to show off my credentials, and I can also visit people on death row, and I can park in special areas at hospitals, etc.

So should we be calling you Rev. Bill, Fr. Bill, Pastor Bill, or what?

Okay, I presume that the tombstone is fake and you just added the font to that using photoshop?

They have a site where you can make your own license plate images too, Acme labs. Is that where the tombstone came from?

The Baptist church not too far away currently says 'Forbidden Fruit Creats Many Jams'
A few weeks ago it said 'Every Sunday is Super Sunday Here'

I know I have seen some pretty funny signs on churches, I'll be sure to get them next time. That's just great.

Isn't it odd that "politics" is made up of the word "poli" meaning many, and "tics" meaning blood-sucking creatures?
