It seems kind of weird that this lift is an up and over lift since one of these hasn't been built for a few decades here in North America with a mid unload station.

Willamette Pass also has plans to build an up and over lift which would be a complete waste since it has a triple chair probably sitting in storage which it would install instead.

Interesting new lift. That ski through tunnel looks a little small though...

I had to double-check- those towers are yellow, right?
As far as up-and-overs go- there aren't too many mountains with that type of topography; that's why there haven't been any for a while.

If i'm not mistaken Mt washington has an older doppelmayr as well with yellow towers.

Are you referring to the Dopp CTEC HSS called the Hawk?

no there is an older doppelmayr triple from the 80's which has vibrant yellow towers. also i think one of their lifts is also red.

The Red chair was a Mueller triple. It was removed when the HSS Hawk was instlled. The Dopp. triple with the yellow towers is still there and is run on weekends and/or busy days.
