Ski Trail Down Mt St Helens

Hey, I think it maybe fun to ski down St Helens right about now. Even without snow the potential debris flow could be a fun one time adventure. :)

So they think it's gonna blow any day now, is that what's happening? Last chance to get a little snow on the sides before it's replaced by lava rocks

It's not going to be a volcanic erruption, just a steam erruption from what I've been seeing on the news. But the snow could very well melt away or be covered up from the steam blast depending how big it will actually be.

No, maybe a rope tow or something a long time ago.

At one time there were several rope tows like at Paradise on Mt Rainier, as well as a lodge. The rope tows were gone well before 1980, and the lodge is buried under 200 feet of what used to be the north face...
I saw the 1980 eruption from my roof; that would definitely be a 'one-time adventure' as Bill says. Imagine suffocating on what amounts to fine glass particles!
