I guess we need to see some pictures of the high speed quads that were installed at the Park City resorts when they are finished to see if those are actually UNI-GS terminals or maybe the UNI-GS design was just scrapped?

Anyway, I was pissed again this morning when I found out that Silver Mountain was closed again today because of high winds but the winds stopped at 10 or so but it already gave the word that the mountain would be closed again today. The mountain will be open tomorrow though but I will be on my way to big sky.

However, I will be back up here on Christmas day to pick up a new car we bought yesterday, so I will have another chance to ski Silver Mt. Once I get back from Kellogg, I will try to head down to Cali Zack so we can do some skiing/snowboarding together.

I thought Allan told me either Silverlode or Motherlode would be open as well.

Red & Silverlode are open... The snow came so quick that we didn't have time to setup granite mountain - so it's being done this week and will be open on Saturday along with the T-Bar and the carpet. Haha liftmech, that was too funny! and true :)

Holy crap is it snowing right now. You wouldnt belive the amounts that have and are falling. This morning kirkwood says they has 4 feet since monday with 2-3 last night, and they say that 4 feet refers to the base, so its close to 6 up top. Today weather forcasts 1-2 feet, tonight is another 2-3 and tommarow is 1-2 more FEET. Thats 7 FEET of snow in 2 days, 11 for 5. Crazyness

We're getting your leftovers, Zack- 8-12 inches last night and it didn't stop snowing all day. There were big drifts above timberline too. I got intimately familiar with one this morning as I plowed into it doing about 45 km/h

haha, nice. Its still snowing, could easily end up being 8 feet, way more in the drifts up top. Im pretty happy too, the snow is fairly dry, very good for california standards. Kirkwood says what they got has 9% water content and this second bad boy is colder, but probably about the same water content. I dont know if I will be able to make it up this weekend, but the snow should stay good for awhile. I hear another big storm is coming in a week or so as well. :)

Well some of the snow has fallen so far. Kirkwood got 48-60 inches in the last 24 hours, with a storm total from monday being 80-100 inches, 72-90 of that in the last 48 hours. Today 2 lifts are open but the highways are closed so those who are already up there must be having some fun. The snow returns later today through sunday with another 2-3 feet.

Park City area has been having insane snow nonstop for three day snow, I've heard they have almost 40 inches
I took an awesome fall today into powder, on a part where it's pretty steep and then suddenly flattens out, went down and fell right out of my skis on my face 6 feet away. Fun time finding my stuff again

I can't complain about the snow here. It's been snowing on and off for a few days now and judging by the size of the snow piles in our driveway the season is coming along nicely. About a 1 1/2 feet of snow is covering the lawn so far!

Still snowing, 2-3 feet in 24 at kirkwood, sop the storm total is 12-13 feet. Today 6 inches are expected, tonight about a foot and same tommarow. I'd like to get out there tommarow but the roads have been closed for 2 days, so we shall see.

To think that I would have been up there if not for college apps!

I went the week before because there was supposed to be no snow until after the new year.

bah! all you people are just lucky. snoqualmie has a 14 inch base right now, and that's only cause they moved the snow from the parking lot to the hill! that explained a lot of the rocks...
