Someone over on the Mammoth Mountain Forums posted these construction pictures. They are all very high quality. Many are of the construction of the village and village gondola last year, but there are several of the construction of the new Chair 17 HSQ this fall.

Those don't look bad at all. Who knows? Maybe they will improve the outer hull for this year. Of course, it is too early to tell.

It wouldn't be very hard to make a few minor adjustments, but apparently Doppelmayr CTEC likes it as they designed it that way in the first place.

Oh, I just find it unfortunate that they have no plans to update the appearance of the exterior.

No, that's not any kind of official word, just me talking about how they probably like it if that's the way they designed it in the first place. Resorts might have asked them over the summer to change it. We won't know if they're changing it until we can see it
