I was in our RV in a park in Ontario last year. Everyone was quite energetic. They had little paper flags on sticks that people were throwing everywhere. I had to use a broom to get them all off of the roof. Talk about a celebration!

This Year the Fireworks were awsome! Way to go Canada!
An estimated 100 000 - 150 000 people turned out to watch the 3000+ shot display. Also the anual tradition of firing up the Great Divide waterfall was quite the spectacle.

I'm not Canadian, but I did study Canadian History, so- Oh Canada!
For five years Lizz and I celebrated both Canada Day and the Fourth of July, being as we had several friends in the Vancouver area. That was quite the fun time. There is certainly a difference between Canadian patriotitism and the American variety- I've noticed that to some people here in the states, if you don't fly the flag (don't own one) or get all misty-eyed at the national anthem, you're not a real American. To that I say- I'm just as patriotic as the next guy, I just don't show it in the same manner. I still believe in the American Dream and the American Way, but I don't think our country is doing all it can to keep those two ideals alive. I'll get off my soapbox now.

Canada Day (Observed) says my Simpsons page-a-day calendar. Have a good one. Hopefully you're allowed to shoot off fireworks unlike us here in three days. So if not, I've provided some for you!

Canada is cool, especially since it's so close to me when I'm at school. Montreal is only 2.5 to 3 hours away, which makes it an easy day trip or evening getaway - to put it in better terms. :w00t:

Since my family is all french canadian we can use the word "Canadian" but you have to say "the C word" so you don't come off as racist. If you're not canadian that is.
