Unfourtunitly, their will be no new hsq at bellayre this year. beacause the budget did not pass and the bid prosess did not fully compleat, the lift will be in next year, not this year. but their will be a new majic carpet replacing a handle tow and that tow will serve the half pipe. nothing works like the well oiled macine of new york state.

it was a bid between poma and doppelmayre, but it is a c-tec quad so most likely doppelmayre.

Oh, New York, :D

I go skiing at Belleayre a lot (okay, just about four times in a year)! I never knew that they were going to even be getting a hsq. Where will they be putting this lift?

I have heard that they would not be getting a high-speed lift because it is too expensive, and there would be too much people at the top of the lift because of the high capacity.

Boy, am I excited! :w00t:

Well, for all of you on the forum who are not familiar with Belleayre mtn (located almost 3 hrs north of NYC), here it goes:

Belleayre's runs are VERY organized. Green runs are at the bottom where the beginner section is. Near those runs is a Doppelmayr double-double. In the middle of the mountain are the intermediate blue runs which can be accessed by a midstation on every lift going to the top. And at the top are advanced and expert black runs.

spunkyskier01, or whoever knows about this future lift, will the high speed quad have a midstation at the top of the blue trails like all of the summit lifts? thanks a lot

i'm pretty sure that the lift that is highlighted is the superchief, the lift being replaced

Do you know what will happen to the Superchief? Also, will Belleayre create some new intermediate or beginner runs from the summit?

Thanks a lot

supercheif will most likely replace their old riblet triple. and the triple would be sold or moved down to the begenr area.
