One of if not the best ziplines in the world is in Thailand. Its off the 56th story of a hotels tower that is similar to the stratosphere tower in Vegas. They have five lines off the tower. Two are straight zip lines that are handles that you are harnesed into. Two are cabriolet style carriers which resemble maintnance carriers. And one of them is a gondola car which holds 6 people and goes to the water park next door. The zip lines are not mechanicaly slowed until the last 200 feet but the others are motor controled. the zipline is really steep and is almost a vertical start then almost flattens out before you stop. I was really glad I chose the zipline over the gondola because shortly after I got down the gondola fell off the track cable and was hanging by haul cable. They evaced everyone by tying a primitive rope harnes arround the people on board and lowering them about 150ft to the ground. The first picture islooking down from the top of the zip line and the second is the base of the gondola.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

That'd be so scary to jump off a 56-story building. How fast do you get going?

I'm not sure of the actual speed but it feels almost like free fall until youre about 100 feet off the ground. At that point there is some sort of mechanism that slows your decent.

I didn't take this picture and it's not aparent why the people were downloading. This lift is located at Espace Killy in Eastern France.

Huh interresting. BTW what type of chair is it as it looks like something made from across the pond if I'm right or at least a pure breed Dopp.
