From what I recall Wizard, Fitzsimmons, and Excelerator were are all designed as a bubble chairs, but only Wizard retains its bubbles. What is the history on why they were removed from Fitzsimmons, and why did Excelerator never get them?

Excelerator - It was decided that rain would not be a huge issue at that elevation, and the amount of snow collecting on them overnight would be a problem.
Fitzsimmons - A maintenance barn needed to be constructed to do the bubble maintenance. This was deemed too expensive so they decided to remove the bubbles instead.
Wizard - Hopefully that lift is on its last legs and we will get a gondola to replace it sooner rather than later.

D'oh, hate it when I do that.
7th heaven is not on the radar for replacement to my knowledge.

Recently it has been weather. At Christmas the transformer that fed the lift failed so it was down a couple of days and ran on diesel a few more days. Also we had significant windchill a few days earlier in the month that had a lot of the high alpine lifts closed.
