If you go to this topic : http://www.skilifts....p?showtopic=918 you will see that you say the HST is a Vonroll. That is the same lift pictured above. I'm sorry if I offended you.

Ok I never meant to say you were wrong, but compare this which is the old vonroll gondola @sunshine, with oyur picture of the Staedeli gondola posted above. Compare the towers.

all of the old double chairs at toas NM are stadeli infact the origanl lift #1 double chair, replaced in 89 by a Poma fg quad, but reincarnated as 7th heven lift was the first chair built by Stadeli anywhere. The lift is around 45- 50+ years old now granted its new alingment is about one 1/3 as long and about half the vert.

Was Stadeli bought by Doppelmayr because it looks like I see a lot of Stadeli parts used on Doppelmayr's lifts these days and vise versa. Now I know who built the lifts at Soldier Mountain, Idaho.

I noticed the same thing too...look at the tower head on that gondola, it's alot like the ones Doppelmayr uses now...same with the old grips

I'm the guy who maintains http://www.jacomet.ch/themen/skilift - thanks for linking my site, Brad :) As you see on this page I met Walter Staedeli (actually, spelled Städeli in german, but you frequently see Stadeli or Staedeli in english) in the WSO factory in 1985 when I was a kid - nowadays, I'm still into skilifts, especially Staedeli T-Bars, I got some Ts at home as well. So if anyone has questions, don't hesitate to ask. THE swiss guy who knows *everything* about lifts is Michael Meier as frequent readers may have noticed. I will probably meet a guy who designed T-Bars in the 50s this summer - his son already wrote to me that Mr. Staedeli afterwards got the same patent for the later-on Staedeli T-Bars. I'll post some information here or on my site asap.

The Double I do not know the length of but I know the vertical rise is 190' feet. The lift hasen't been maintained for at least 7 years so it would make one heck of a repair project. It would need a new drive, new carriers and a new cable. I am sure that the county of Lambertville(who owns the land and lifts) would be happy to sell it to get rid of it. The pony tow however would need a bit of maintenence on the engine and you would need to get the cable back on the bullwheel but it is set to run other wise. The ropetows are a complete loss in my opinion.
