Brian Hepler who started this page posted it in the "Snowmakers of the world unite" facebook group. So I thought I would share it here:

The funding campaign hasn't even started yet, this page is a preview. The company allegedly will make short length double chairlifts catering to small midwest size ski areas seeking a low cost replacement for aging equipment. Based on design pics posted on the page, the design of the lift appears to be influenced by Hall and Borvig chairlifts.

I hope this turns out well! I'm surprised Sky Trans hasn't gotten into this market already. They build short small chairlifts for amusement parks---why not ski areas?

There is a Sno Technology facebook page for those of us who are on it.

The Indiegogo campaign doesn't seem to be off to a strong start, which isn't too surprising. I hope that he has a plan b for obtaining start up money.

A post from facebook I will share here for those who cant see it:

To answer a question on my crowdfund campaign: What do I expect to build for prototypes on a $5,000 budget? The main component will be a two and four sheave train assembly. There are some measurements and clearances that need verifying that cannot be done well on paper. I expect that during the preliminary design that a couple of more components will also need to be fully or partially fabricated.
The fabrication of a complete prototype lift will be in the next phase of the project, after the final design and engineering are on paper

More lift design drawings are being posted on facebook. Here is one of a 2 wheel sheave assembly. Its is certainly different from anything else being offered right now. There are more details on the facebook page.
