There are different express terminal designs but we all have our favorites. Mine are Garaventa Stealth I & II and Doplemayer CLD terminals.
Don't get rid of something before you know how much it is worth.

Mine are probably the stealth one, the 1988 poma one, the poma competetion, doppelmayr uni with square bottom metal and the new lpa terminal

I for got about the Poma competition that one has the big vents

Stealth 2, Omega and LPA terminals look the best IMHO.

Lpa is probably one of the best aesthetically looking terminals. After that I would say the poma terminals with wooden skins like the crested butte ones and the quantum 4.

Do you like American Flyer though? I love the really old Poma express lifts like that

Second thoughts, anything not painted Telluride green. One of 2 things I don't love about Telluride.

I can say from experience, that the terminal enclosures suck on flyer, lots of things to bang your head on and they don't do the best job of keeping the weather out.

I suppose their logic was that most of the work on that lift would be in the conjoined alpha drive or the vault down below, and as such didn't really pay much attention to the upper part. I mean, from the exterior that looks uncomfortable to move around inside

Also consider that this was one of their first high speed lifts, and maybe the necessities weren't very thought out in a rush to get these on the market

Is that a storage rail on those big tall poles? How the heck do you move chairs around on it?

There use to be a electric chain hoist on that rail so you could move chairs to the side of the terminal and lower them into the vault for service.

but that process is kinda vague, however you can see the chair suspended from a rope and you can see those rails on the tall poles _litz was referring to

Nevertheless I love the way that lift looks (plus is rare). Also do you feel some love for that lift vons and liftmech, sort of like how people love dogs despite the difficulties.

The chairs are taken off at the bottom now and Liftmech even has a new work shed to service them in

No, I do like the lift, just not the enclosures. You can see there's not much headroom inside. The '88 (and later) design, by contrast, is great for working. http://www.skilifts....werterminal.jpg
