They've had this on the table for a while now. I believe at one point the concern was access into White Pine from the Twins. Snowbird has a pretty good record about handling the mines, they've gotten national recognition for it before. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see approval soon.

What is the sun exposure in Mary Ellen? So much of Mineral Basin gets sun baked, so wondering if the new terrain will be more shaded.

Has Snowbird changed its plans from a new tram to one of the Twins and basically a haul-back out of Mary Ellen? A lift right up Mary Ellen instead of the tram would allow repeat laps of the terrain.

Is there an updated map showing the plan? I've seen some from 2010 but it sounds like there have been some changes. MBX extended, possibly a 6 based off mention of expanded capacity on one of the above sites, lift from the bottom of the expansion to Sinner's Pass, but I'm still a little confused on where the last chair and gondola would be. At one point, there was talk of a tram from Hidden Peak to the Twins, is that the gondola referenced?
Any clarity would be appreciated.

Nothing is set in stone yet, we must complete a two year water quality study and some other details before construction can begin. The summer of 2017 we will begin running power out to Sunday Saddle, but that is about the only certainty. Two years gives us plenty of time to work on the details of what lifts will go where. As far as any talk of re-aligning MBX it is just talk at this time, we have quotes for a new 6-pack, but no plans.
