It's located in Val Thorens and was constructed in 1989. It is quite long (2.4km)
and has a capacitiy of "only" 1500 pers./h.

For some reasons, some lifts have smaller capacities (Beginner lift, cheaper, don't need a higher capacity, etc.)

The lift I presented above is in a not very frequented part of the ski area. The same as the following fixed grip quad. It was also built by GMM but in 2000 and has a capacity of 2000pers./h. The rights belong also to www.ski3vallees.net.
There are high speed six person chair lifts with a capacity of "only" 2400 and on the other hand there are some lifts like the one in the second image with a capacity of 4200 pers./h (this HSS has double loading). So you see the constructors are building what the areas want to have.
