Not much going on in these forums lately, figured it might be a good time for a new topic. Anyway, I have been taking a few photos of the construction of the Green lift at Magic ever since the new ownership announced that they would be completing the lift. I thought I would share them here. But first, here are some older photos of the green lift that were taken in February of 2014. These show how complete the lift was prior to the more recent work done starting in spring 2017. If anyone is interested there are older pics of the lift on chairlift.org's magic page: http://www.chairlift.org/magic.html

These next pictures are from the spring of 2017. This was back when the next round of work on the green lift was beginning.

The above photo was from the folks at Magic when it was announced that the green lift would be completed. The green paint on the terminal was just for marketing as it was eventually painted over.

The three above pictures were taken around may 1 2017. They show tower 1 with the un rebuilt sheaves assemblies still attached. In the latter pictures the sheaves on tower 1 are removed. The rest of the pictures were taken toward the end of may.

These are the rest of the pictures I took during the summer of 2017. Most of the work done during this time was that both top and bottom terminals were disassembled so the components could be refurbished. The structural portions of the terminals were painted. the carriers were also refurbished during this time. Magic at the time was planning on opening this lift for the 2017-2018 ski season but weren't able to finish due to their contractor falling ill.

A lot of us can't wait for it to be finished and put into service. How long has it been since it was removed from Stratton?

The old betwixt lift was removed from Stratton in 1995. so that would mean t has been sitting idle for 23 years. Quite a while to say the least.

This is the most recent photo I have taken (oct 9). It shows the motor room has been put up although missing some windows yet. The idler terminal sheaves were also installed since my last visit.
