I'm currently doing this pet project where I photoshop an existing trail map so that one area of the mountain has its trails rethemed to be named after things from Frozen: a double black area known as the Southern Isles, an egress trail called Elsa's Expressway, etc. I plan to release the map when I'm finished in a few weeks.

I draw maps as a hobby, have since I was a kid. The most frequent process of naming the runs is to listen to a song and pull out words that sound like good run names. It works surprisingly well. Although I don't think that an actually resort could do that without paying serious legal fees.

I'll be honest and just admit that this is a photoshop project of my own wherein I Photoshop Peak 6 so that the runs have interesting names. The 'Awaken Your Sixth Sense' theme caused trail names that honestly don't sound like very inventive trail names. I mean, I'd have gone with a weather theme renaming for this project but Steamboat already has Storm Peak and Burgess Creek.

I would probably rename the URSA and Sunbowl area of Stratton. The whole bear theme everywhere is annoying.

Except themes sometimes are helpful in helping you know what part of the mountain you're on. For instance, at Steamboat, if you're seeing trail signs with weather-related theme naming, you're on Storm Peak. If the trail signs have times of day, you're on the section of Sunshine Peak serviced by the Sundown Express lift. If the trails have "mountain man" themes, then you're on the section of Sunshine Peak off the Sunshine Express lift.

There are times where I think the "Awaken Your Sixth Sense" theme Breckenridge Ski Resort was going for with the Peak 6 trails was well-executed, but the names lack creativity. But I like the choice of lift names, so in the Photoshopped map, the Kensho SuperChair and Zendo Chair keep their names and my Frozen theme only extends to the trails. So, Barton Breezeway becomes Elsa's Expressway (to keep it alliterative), the Horizon Warming Hut at the bottom of the Kensho SuperChair becomes the Wandering Oaken hut, etc.

I did just Frozenize Peak 6, and here's the results. Notice how I've changed the names of the blue runs, but have not touched the lifts' names in any way. For the record, the run name changes are:

Well, unofficially, here's how you rebrand a resort, so that it looks like the kingdom of Arendelle had a ski area:

Oh, and by the way, I forgot to mark it, but that ice castle on Peak 10 that you may see while you're on the Mercury SuperChair is private land, so it's off limits. I mean, I've heard reports that a giant snow monster lives up there.

Officially, the Photoshopped resort is known as Snow Queen Mountain Resort at Arendelle.

For the most part, Peaks 7-10 were unchanged save for a few runs that got renamed:

Little Johnny, the black run underneath the Rocky Mountain SuperChair, is known as Little Princess

Fort Mary B, a cutoff that allows access to the Independence SuperChair from Claimjumper, is known as Fort Gerda B

Frosty's Freeway, the trail taking people from the Colorado SuperChair to Lift 6 and Lift E, is now Anna's Autobahn

In an unrelated note, I wanted to add that I think I did a good job photoshopping the "Lift Stats" bubble so that the Colorado SuperChair is lined up below the listing for the Kensho SuperChair and the listing for the Zendo Chair falls now above the listing for the Peak 8 SuperConnect. I also restored Eldorado's trail name on Peak 9.

I, too, have been drawing maps since I truly got obsessed with skiing years ago. I don't have photoshop, but I am really good at replicating some maps. Maybe I can find some from my drawer of skiing stuff.
I personally would rename Crotched's trails to be ALL space themed, because some either aren't as obvious, or don't seem space related, such as Final Frontier, Retro, Re-Entry, and I would also give the Crotched Mountain Terrain Park a new name.
I would entirely retheme places like Sunapee and Ragged to new themes, Ragged I have no idea what the theme is supposed to be, and Sunapee kind of has a mixed theme of birds and wind.
I like to play around with McIntyre, since it is tiny and takes only minutes to draw a detailed map, plus they have no names on their trails the last time I checked.

Makes sense with Crotched since the main high speed quad is called The Rocket.

The main reason why I ever did the Frozen re-theming of Peak 6 was so I could also do some modifications to the rest of the mountain to the point that it's Breck but it's not Breck.

What's different in this map compared to the real map?
1. The Peak 6 runs have the Frozen retheming, which extends to everything you can directly get to from the Kensho SuperChair without hiking, and to the chutes in the Northern Isles (formerly known as the Beyond Bowl).

2. To allow Peak 6 traffic to return to Peak 8 without going all the way back to the Independence SuperChair, a triple chairlift known as the Trolden Chair has been established on the map running from the bottom of Wirepatch up to just uphill from where the Peak 6 Parkway crosses Wirepatch, which is also where the Peak 7 Road that goes back to Claimjumper crosses Wirepatch.

3. All of the lifts that have numbers or letters in real life have been given names here and/or upgraded: Lift A is now known as the Anders Chair. Lift C is now known as the Finnekonen Chair. Lift 5 is now known as the Roverpige Chair and is a fixed-grip quad on this map. Lift 7 becomes known as Anna's Chair. Lift 6 is now a high speed quad called the Prinsessen SuperChair, and Lift E is now a high speed quad known as the Djaevlen SuperChair.

4. Besides those upgrades, the Horsehoe Bowl T-Bar is replaced with a fixed grip quad called the Kragen Chair (imagine that it runs up the T-Bar's downhill line).

5. Some runs off Peak 6 are renamed. 'Fort Mary B' is now 'Fort Gerda B'. 'Frosty's Freeway' is now 'Anna's Autobahn'.

Of course, the choice of lift names was done deliberately so that you know the map is not meant to be real. Besides the fact that their bubbles are much different from the ones used on the real high speed quads and six packs, all of the lifts use the Norwegian names of characters from the fairytale known as The Snow Queen (no real resort in their right mind would ever call a lift the Roverpige Chair because that would be calling a lift the Robbers' Chair, or give a high speed quad a name like the Devils' SuperChair).

Anyways, I figured that this was as far as I would go for this retheming project.

Rebooting an old topic, photoshop makes me imagine what chairlift and trail signs on a Frozenified Breckenridge might look like.

Here's one near the top of the Mercury SuperChair:

Pabbie's Rock Troll Restaurant is a new name for The Overlook.

As for Queen Elsa's SuperChair, that's what happens when you repaint the Beaver Run SuperChair blue:
