Is there some special rush to get this completed or a summertime access issue?
It's always more expensive to do over-the-snow installs...

Are two lifts being dismantled because there are photos of the Summit Riblet triple along with photos of a Borvig triple (the photo with the green towers heads)?

Shawnee's new lift is a 1984. It was in operation at Loon Mountain NH until 2004. The Riblet is also an '84 but Shawnee's night skiing operation makes it certain the CTEC has fewer hours of operation. The CTEC also was built to run 550 fpm. Shawnee's website states they plan run at 525 fpm along with a loading conveyor to help increase uphill capacity and decrease ride time.

Only one lift is being dimantled but some of the pictures are of the new lift. The green towers are CTEC. There are more pictures on Facebook.

I don't think they're just replacing the lift to install a loading carpet and get an extra 25 fpm. My information is the CTEC was originally bought for expansion not replacement. If this is true, they must have a good reason to change their plans.
