Shouldn't that lift stop more quickly? It didn't seem like the safety gate did anything.

That was my first comment that I had put. But since it was a Poma and I have not really dealt with Poma yet I was not sure how there systems work Compared to the Ctec /Dopp.

Uh... yeah I have - not by people I knew though! People seem to like taking pictures of monkeys in their natural habitat. They probably started filming him once they saw him start climbing the chair. He's wearing a harness - which would make me assume he's an employee.

Video 1: That lift line is pathetically long. Do I hear lift upgrade?
Video 2: Good luck to you if your boss ever sees that.

Don't know for sure if this video has been posted before but it's pretty intense. Good think the ops and patrollers are around to help.

That is McConkeys Express at Park City, Utah. Boy's backpack caught in the chairlift and stuck. The lift operators chatted and don't watch. Boy's friend ran up and knocked lift station door. Ouch lift operators got fired.

 So I guess they weren't doing their job. I retract my comment about the ops.

Is there any way at all to put a lift in reverse so that he wouldn't have been so high up?

Some lifts can go reverse. HOWEVER it would not of made a difference in this case. And I'm sure others agree with my statement.

Video of Imperial Express at Breckenridge under evacuation power. It appears that it doesn't have a full speed back-up motor. The line speed is about 1 m/s.

(Click on the picture for the video.)

Looks pretty smooth...no chair swing at entry/exit or side to side.
Where are the people?

Took Video around 745am. When I run the Vx. I start out at 1050fpm and slow it down at 8:20am to 950. Or if it's super windy in the morning during operations checks it runs 950 or slower. If we are super busy down to as low as 775fpm. We are not allowed to run the lift at 100% with public loading. At the end of the day once last chair is called and If mid station staff needs to get out quickly i'll bump it up to 1050. Otherwise she's set to 930-950 or slower depending on how full maze is.
