Any chalet updates? Now they just need to tear out that double that runs adjacent, remove the summit triple and replace the gandy chair with a new quad on an extended line

In the first pic you can see the poured foundation for the new Grand Ave chalet.....looks a bit behind for this season.....I imagine the fflash flood this summer set back things a bit.

New Links, which is being made from parts from old high camp, at Squaw is moving along nicely. Towers are up, and the return bulwheel is set today. The Drive is getting moved on Friday, I'll try to get pics if it's not too hectic. Posted Image Posted Image

Our former H-lift is being reinstalled at 49 North:

Looks a little nicer than when we had it. I don't recall catwalks or lifting gantries, anyway

I would guess they are going to have 90 degree offloading to put skiers in the downhill direction to avoid the downhill skiers off the tram and Mineral Basin.

Of course now I read the article in the SL tribune and it indicates this is the case.

Looks like parts have begun to arrive for Jay Peak's new lift (FG Quad I believe?) The new lift lift is visible on the right side of this picture from Jay's Facebook page.

Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

I don't have the photos downloaded yet, but Breckenridge replaced the chairs on the Colorado SuperChair this summer (going from the old Falcon chairs and replacing them with Omega chairs with Multix footrests). I'll add those photos to this thread when I get the time. They also appear to have added compression sheaves to tower 15 on the uphill side.

You are quite observant Donald (with the compression sheave assembly)

I got photos of it. I put them somewhere else on the forum. As I said, I think they're only on the uphill line (I think there's a tower with a combi-assembly uphill/support assembly downhill wheel configuration on the High Lonesome Express at Winter Park).

I'm a bit confused as to the layout of the top terminal there-- is that building separate, or the actual terminal? The bottom is massive. Makes the Bee look small.

In the last photo it looks like the terminal will be going next to the building, not in it.

Peter is correct. In the last photo you can see the terminal foundation bolts in the foreground. Windows are the Operator House.
Lower Parking Level has wash bay, repair bay and NDT area. Upper level is offline parking / storage.

Must be nice. You've heard my complaints about my current setup. At this point I'd be happy with a ten-by-ten garden shed to do NDT in. Looks like we'll have to take a field trip next winter-- bring Clyde some maintenance currency for a tour or something like that.
