We are starting mountain biking this summer. And I am having a hard time with bike racks. We have a 1989 Poma quad fixed grip. A resort close to us has bike racks that bolt on the back of the seat kinda like a mini a frame type thing. Poma denies ever making these but was looking at some pictures on skilifts.org and found at least two other chairs with the same bracket. One chair I found was the Colorado Superchair at Breckenridge has them on every other chair. Heard they are replacing this chair anyone from Breck on here? Would you be interested in selling them? Poma wants to sell us a rod that you place by the chair number between the bail and hanger and have to zip tie or lose them. Or if we could borrow one to maybe copy the design. Thanks

The industry seems to be moving away from hooks and towards self-loading bike racks. The Whistler Bike Park pioneered these and they are made by Murray-Latta (the former lift manufacturer.) Many guests are able to load their bikes themselves and operators pull them off at the top. Inter-Mtn distributes them: http://www.inter-mtn...tegoryID=47#270 I'm not sure if they would work on a fixed grip lift though.

The only problem with those bike racks. You have to purchase bails dedicated to those bike racks because Poma will not garuantee a bail that has been fitted with this bike rack. So becomes a problem with your bails used for carrying passengers again. Althogh I would think the work chair stresses the bail more than anything else would.

I was noticing in another post that Breck replaced the chairs on the colorado superchair a couple years ago. I wonder where the chairs went
