Ajax, Santa Fe and Discovery. The old single #1 at Aspen and t 210 Tesuque Peak platter poma (I got 11200 vertical in 56 minutes) and the best lift manufacturer is YAN, the only company that I know of that designed and built their own gearbox specifically for chairlifts.

His pre-"85 fixed-grip lifts are indestructible.

I don't really have a favorite mountain or favorite lift, but I like Poma better than Doppelmayr for lifts.

3 resorts:
Whistler-Blackcomb
Big Sky
Jackson Hole

2 lifts:
Peak Chair (W-B)
Pallavicini (A-Basin)

1 manufacturer:
Leitner-Poma. I especially like their new Multix/LPA series. They're very smooth and comfortable.

Erik has an updated proximity switch to show you - also a magnetic stop gate designed especially for YANs.

Skierdude-- We don't get the Multix lifts here in the States. What we have (correct me if I'm wrong, Dino) is a Grand Junction-designed terminal that uses the LPA grip. We also have different tower assemblies than they sell in Europe with the Multix.

I think the Peak Express at Whistler - Blackcomb is unique. I don't think i've seen anything like it! (BTW for anyone unfamiliar it was built in 1998)

Yeah, it's very Doppelmayr-type Multix and has slatted backrests due to the high winds.

Let me do another favorites among resorts I don't normally go to:

Crested Butte
Steamboat
Copper Mountain

Favorite two lifts:
Storm Peak Express
Silver Queen Express

Favorite manufacturer: Poma

I'd probably change my mind here after a season of going to a couple Vermont places:

Resorts : Waterville Valley, Sunday River, Mad River Glen
Lifts : Mad River Glen Single, Chondola (Sunday River of course)
Manufacturer : Poma
