Good evening gents -
While I wouldn't say I make it out a lot, I try to ski 20-25 days/year at Copper. There are a few things which have always confused me, though, and none of the lifties seem to know what's up with them.

What's the deal with the platter pull which ran parallel to the big Woodward park next to Union Creek HSQ? It always seemed to be abandoned and/or buried, and this year it is totally gone. What was this lift, and when was it actually used?

And what happened to the old Storm King? Was the Park King platter made with parts of the old Storm King? I'm a big fan of the new T, but I sure do miss the old detachable platter up top

The Park lift was the recycled King and was used in the summer for Woodward camps. It was replaced last summer with a high speed carpet since it was difficult to keep the platter lift operating due to rarity of parts and the need for snow along its length.

I don't miss the old Storm King. It was cool in a rare-lift sense, but that was about it.

Finicky. Nigh-on impossible to get certain parts (our model was only made for two years). Broke down as much as several times a day no matter how much we worked on it. In fact, it closed out its life (in its original location) in a breakdown.
