new lifts 2018

Backbowlsbilly's Photo Backbowlsbilly 20 Feb 2019

I made it to Copper Mountain for the first time this season yesterday, and I greatly enjoyed the new American Eagle and Flyer lifts. The Flyer bubble chairs are very comfortable and smooth, and the direct drive terminals are practically silent compared to a traditional drive. Very impressive to say the least and congrats to everyone at Copper and Leitner-Poma who made these impressive new machines possible.

There is a component on the grips on American Flyer that I am not familiar with (circled on the picture attached to this post). It looks like a black end-piece attached to both uphill and downhill ends of the traction plate. I have not seen this on any of the LPA grips I have been around, what is the function of this piece?

Yep. It also help keep, the bubbles from contacting each other in the parking area.
