I seem to remember that DV didn't have the same cool shacks on their old HSQ, they might not have had that back side sloping down but it looked the same from the front. Now the replacement CTEC doesn't have a bottom shack at all for space constraints, and the top one is right next to someone's mansion

Something else I noticed in the photo: in the background there are dozens of snow fences stabilising the snowpack above timberline. You don't see that over here unless it's at a ski area trying to hold snow to ski on.

Sad? That lift was long and slow. The ride on the HSQ will be much better. The only problem I have with this upgrade is that the runs this lift serves will be very busy. Since they put in the Upper Beaver Creek Mountain lift, the larkspur runs get very busy. With this lift it might bet even more crazy. I wish they would cut some more runs. They don't have much space to expand the runs but they could figure out something.
