DV still has two that are sort of like the cool ones, but more like the regular shack with the sloped back. Nothing too exciting
I seem to remember that DV didn't have the same cool shacks on their old HSQ, they might not have had that back side sloping down but it looked the same from the front. Now the replacement CTEC doesn't have a bottom shack at all for space constraints, and the top one is right next to someone's mansion

Where do the operators warm up, with no shack?

It's only really cold down there in the morning, and then they're all busy with taking tickets and all that. Not that many people use the lift later in the day, and it gets warmer down there. But the lift next to it (Silver Lake) has a shack, even though its a small one, and its right next to the base lodge. The maze for the Silver Lake lift takes up all the room over there. They had one down there for 4 years before they replaced the triple with the Silver Lake HSQ. Here's a pic of the missing shack

If the Operators get cold down there SLE's shack is only 50 feet away...they're the same lift crew down there so it's pretty practical. We have a couple of those sloped back Yan shacks...Viking's top and bottom and red cloud's bottom. We're putting another Yan Cube shack out on the hill this winter...it's going to be Judge lift's new bottom Op. House....used to sit in the back of our shop full of Yan sheave halfs.

Here is a cool tower from europe. It looks like it was manufactured to be bent but for what reason i do not know

Has anyone ever seen a tower like this before?

My guess is that it was designed to increase clearance on the uphill side and avoid an undesirable skier/tower interface.
Something else I noticed in the photo: in the background there are dozens of snow fences stabilising the snowpack above timberline. You don't see that over here unless it's at a ski area trying to hold snow to ski on.

Probably not; I would imagine it's to keep avalanches from wiping out the settlement below.

i bet you could sniff out a few runs to ski down there, like the gladed areas on top and right, and the triple black chutes to the left. looks almost like a heli-skiing face in BC!

Here's a picture of what I believe was POMA's first HSQ. The picture appeared in a 1982 SAM Magazine.

Not really- that's basically the same terminal as the Flyer and other lifts of that vintage. There are the same amount of tyres in those lifts as in the Eagle, so the terminals just look long.

Since that one lift is a T-Bar it couldn't be skier tow interference could it unless it was just going to the bullwheel or something from there.

Here's one for ya:

Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

Sad? That lift was long and slow. The ride on the HSQ will be much better. The only problem I have with this upgrade is that the runs this lift serves will be very busy. Since they put in the Upper Beaver Creek Mountain lift, the larkspur runs get very busy. With this lift it might bet even more crazy. I wish they would cut some more runs. They don't have much space to expand the runs but they could figure out something.
