so the hand sets use a 9volt battery and the master unit uses 4 aa batterys?

We modified it with a relay in our panel so it runs off power and if we lose power it transfer over to the 6v. (The base comes with the plug in transformer)
You can use it with the 4 AA battery's just if you have a lot of lifts its many dead battery's and possible loss of communication till the battery's are replaced if none are at hand on the lift.
