Alright, after some nice easy searching, there are plans for a new resort. It will be a public resort built between (yes between) alpine meadows and squaw valley. So far they have named runs, laid lift terminal foundations, and have permission to get it going. The lift is the old headwall yan triple according to the alpine meadows forum, but i dont believe that since the headwall drive terminal still sits in its spot. I Believe it is really the old riblet kt/22 double, but we have yet to find out. As i learn and find out more about White Wolf, i will share B)

Wait a second... how would they be able to build roads to it... Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are seperated only by a single ridge, correct? So any access road would have to come either from the squaw or alpine base areas (why would they want to allow more competition to take place; they would block that plan) or over the ridge (not going to happen).

This area definitely would face MANY MANY large hurdles before it can ever even dream of becoming a reality.

That would be kinda cool, when would it be opened if they do it? Sounds like they already have permits and everything to do it if they've laid the lift foundations and everything

i believe it will be off the alpine acess road. Since it will be a private resort, it wont be that type of competition. You would have to pay a lot more to ride there, so i dont think much would happen. A strange thing with the place is that squaw is paying for the lift instilation. The guy who owns "white wolf" used to own the summit of kt-22, so when squaw built the new hsq, they worked out a land deal that allowed the guy to get the lift and instilation. The place will probably get the lift in during this coming summer because they already have the permits after working hard for several years.

When i head out to alpine, i will try and look at the place and figure out how it works

Any links?

I have searched through the newspapers and Placer County's web site and found absolutely nothing.
Where did you learn what little you do know about it?

the alpine meadows forum. Most of the members are locals, so i believe they know what they are talking about, also ther was that thing that said the owner of the land between alpine and squaw got the kt lift. I also looked for stuff and came up short. I have been checking the alpine forum for more, but not much luck yet
