This is kind of :off-topic:, but do you guys ever see the ski industry doing what sport stadiums have done in the recent past. They have changed the name of the stadiums and coliseums to reflect the names of companies. Like Minute Maid Stadium, Tropicana Stadium, SBC Stadium, SafeCo Stadium etc. Maybe in the future, we will have ski runs and lifts named after companies like Cingular Wireless' Run, Verizon Express, Aflac Lodge.

We already have a "fruit by the foot rail/box" in the terrain park and lots of billboards on towers :pinch:

Last year at Blue Mountain, Ontario, there was a HS six-pack that had Coors Light written all over it (the terminals). I believe it was called that too (not sure).

Too bad some resorts can't afford the naming rights to their own lifts. Hey! They should start naming the towers too. In fact, I think that Silverton had plans of advertising on the individual chairs. Anybody know if they are actually doing that now?

The American Express at Stratton was named by the Credit Card Company, as well as the Grand Prix lift named by Pontiac at Blue Mountain.

I happen to double as our resort's "impromptu signmaker". Today, a tower on lift #2 will be labeled: BILL'S TOWER.

Grwoing up 20 miles from Kelly Canyon,Idaho, hunting, hiking camping, going 4x 4ing in around Kelly Canyon, i can 100% say they do not have a Summit Express. They call it the Summit Lift.

New Year's Day - I'm watching the "Capitol One Bowl" (only because I'm sick, drugged and bored).

It occurs to me that, in this advertising spirit, American Standard should sponsor a "bowl game".

LOL nice one

I'd say my favourite lift name is the Grizzly Bear Express or Elk Chair.
