Wow, this is a very unique system indeed. If you look closely, you can actually see that there are 4 carriers on the other side of the contour while there is that one gondola. This makes me wonder if the tires above on the contour even travel at the same speed at the same time. Do you see how close the six pack carriers are stacking up and how they are getting close to the gondola cabin, while the gondola cabin that just entered has a lot of room? I'm guessing that the gondola travels at a different contour speed than the carriers do. I will try to get some info out of Doppelmayr CTEC next week.

I'll ride it next winter, but if Poma chondolas have different carrier speeds, I think it's the same thing for Doppelmayr.

There was a chondola before the current one now? Garaventa CTEC built the one that is there right now if that's what your looking for.

What is the point of a Chondola? Just build a gondola instead of a combo.

The chondola is to provide options for people. it is more hastle to take off your gear but the ride is sheltered on a gondola. the six pack is easier to load/unload but is not sheltered.

Makes sense I guess. I would still just get a skix pack with bubbles.

Ok, this is about as random as it gets but this is funny, and it shows what happens when I use my wireless in the middle of science. :whistling:

This is totally random but it is a good picture of an Omega Grip.
