I think it's interesting that the manufacturer says (according to the article) to not perform maintenance while the lift is running, but is was apparently SOP to do so.

So the guy was 9 times over the legal limit of THC in his system, had a history of depression and wanted to commit suicide (via witness statements) and belly crawled to the bottom of the carpet.
Some of this has to fall on Adam.
Anything is possible when you don't understand what you are talking about.

Channel 7 news is really trying to put a spin on this story to make it look like the employer (or the company that pays the benefits) should be paying full benefits. Say the employee was drinking and had a 0.40% BAC and was killed. Should his family receive full benefits?

This was a tragic event and it is awful that he lost his life, but Channel 7 is doing a lousy job of reporting the news.
Anything is possible when you don't understand what you are talking about.
