Some cool old pictures of a chairlift on Grouse, either Skyline/Village or the original Cut Chair. If you know which one it is, please post that.

1st two pics are the Cut Chair, third pic is Village Chair after retrofit, 4th is Village Chair before retrofit.

Is the right pic pre Lions Gate bridge or is it out of the picture to the right. Almost looks like a temporary barracks or something in the background. WWII era?

Nope it's there, it was built in the 1930's, about 15 years before any chairlift opened at Grouse...It's out of the picture though.

I found a pic of the second Doppelmayr Cut Chair in my science text so i thought i would post it since we currently dont have any pics of it.

I remember riding that, wish they hadnt got rid of all the old lifts :(

Found some more interesting pictures from Grouse on a photo archive site. Starting with the Village Double bottom terminal in 1949.
