..... At this point I'd be happy with a ten-by-ten garden shed to do NDT in......
Capital Budget?

I saw the construction last Friday. They were working on the bottom terminal, and the line has been cleared, but I saw no indication that towers were ready to be flown in.
All tower foundations are complete. Sheave trains arrived over the weekend. Towers are being galvanized, cross arms will be shipped when needed.
Getting the terminals up is the important part. Flying towers is just part of the Media Circus because of the helicopter- they really don't need to be in place until you are ready to pull haul rope and string comm line. MHO

I wouldn't be so sure about the 90 degree loading quite yet. Bear in mind the lift would half to accept traffic from both sides, and in-line loading would be more suitable for that.

A lift that goes into a cave. Amazing! The closest thing we have to lifts ending buried into the hillsides here in America are Palmer and Cascade on Mount Hood Meadows and Timberline (but due to snowdrifts there).

Fog or Clouds...but not smog IMO

I just thought that it looked like it was somewhere nere Beijing. But there are no caves near Beijing.
Anyways, for something completely different, I did confirm that the Vail Vista Bahn Gondola will have the LPA grip that the High Noon Express has, based on the design of the catch rails.

There is a mid-station then goes up to the cave, then at the top are monks that live there year-round and a temple

Pictures, possibly? I know I'd be interested in seeing a close-up. The description sounds similar to those old tri-footrest bars on the High Lonesome Express at Winter Park.
