Parts for the new Angel Peak lift are arriving at 49 Degrees North. It will be a Yan double built from 2 lifts - the Millicent double at Brighton and a lift from Copper (H-lift?) At one point, Boyne had planned on using Millicent in Bullion Basin at Crystal.

It is indeed our old H-lift. Anything green is from Milly, anything faded black/grey (and the orange carriers) were ours. 49's manager helped us take it down last spring. I hadn't heard that he was going to use parts from another lift-- H was significantly longer than the Angel Peak profile requires.

Are they scrapping the lift or selling it?

I don't have the photos downloaded yet, but Breckenridge replaced the chairs on the Colorado SuperChair this summer (going from the old Falcon chairs and replacing them with Omega chairs with Multix footrests). I'll add those photos to this thread when I get the time. They also appear to have added compression sheaves to tower 15 on the uphill side.

Earl Bales Park, Toronto (North York) Ont.
One of the shorter chairlifts that Leitner Poma will replace this season. The ski hill is in a city park and is a top down ski area (chalet at top of mountain with all parking and all access from the top. LP is replacing a 5 tower double chair (only 35 chairs) with a 4 tower (+ load and unload) Quad chair. First 2 pics show the old chair still standing at the end of July 2012. In each picture, on the trail in the right hand side of each photo you can just make out the last lift tower at the top of the old chair. What looks like a construction road (brown dirt twisting path from top is actually also the route that the 3 underground conduits took to get from top to bottom (electrical, communications and whatever) . More pics later

More Pictures of Earl Bales, Toronto Ont LP Quad chair build Summer 2012. First picture shows a concrete bunker (painted green) which was the old bottom station for a pair of T bar lifts that preceeded the current old chair (which was "new" 15 to 20 years ago as a second hand 25 year old lift from another Ontario Resort)

Second pic shows new bottom station frame pieces sitting next old chairlit (still standing)

Third picture shows bottom station excavation hole full of water after 2 days of heavy rain that ended the June / July drought the whole of North America is having this year.

Fourth picture shows bottom station excavation hole (looking downhill) with lift shack foundation excavation hole beside it on the left. (Bring the pumps boys )

And yes, in the two pictures posted in the previous entry, the "horizon" that you see is the top of the hill , a flat area the size of a football field. Probably one of the most expensive installations that LP will do this year on a cost per elevation foot gained basis ie Total Project Cost divided by Elevation feet gained . Any comments from the experts in the business?

Another Little Cloud shot. The top terminal is on a very narrow ridge. Will it be the same alignment or are they taking it up to the top of the tram and Mineral Basin?

Looks like they're using 6-pack width towers. Is there a reason to do that besides upgradeability to a six pack some day?

Same alignment as the removed lift. I know the new towers went up very fast, maybe sat for two weeks in the parking lot. Most of the old lift towers were still in the lower parking lot as of a week and a half ago. I would guess they used the existing foundations for the new towers.

Any chalet updates? Now they just need to tear out that double that runs adjacent, remove the summit triple and replace the gandy chair with a new quad on an extended line
