Also missing from the list is the Quad at Devil's Glen Ski Club, Glen Huron Ont. I don't know the manufacturer at this point. Does anyone else know?

another Detach at Granite.....cool, wonder if the Riblet is staying on property or Lutsen bound.... Another blow to the "Big Snow Country" areas of the U.P., whos skiers must choose to drive 2 hours farther to the UP, past all the 'glitz' of Wausau....

Quite possible that if they do take out the Riblet it would go to Lutsen to expand the North side of Moose as they have in their long term plan.

It is just too bad that detach isn't going in @ Lutsen.....

Just to summarize what the Squaw plan is:

Remove High Camp, East Broadway, Links, Bailey's Beach and Pulse
Build a new High Camp Six Pack with a new alignment from the bottom of the existing High Camp to the top of the current East Broadway and Links.
Use some combination of the removed lifts to build a new Links lift from the bottom of the existing Links/Belmont/Bailey's Beach to the top of Silverado/Solitude

Does anyone know if in fact all of that is happening this summer?

A 2nd HS lift would be a first for the Midwest (unless you count Blue Mt, Ontario or Terry Peak, SD) Any other details on the new lift at granite. Is it just a replacement for the triple on the west side or is it new terrain too? I think big snow country has way better skiing than Granite but Granite's location plus improving lift infrastructure will make it hard to pass.

Not true- Alpine Valley, WI has THREE detachables...unless you don't count WI as being in the Midwest!

Jay Peak is adding a short quad to replace a dead t-bar, L-P maybe. Different allingment. They postponed the other upgrades, Boneventure 6, and move the current Boneventure to Jet.

I'm glad to see Granite Peak get another high speed lift, especially because I've heard they get busy on the holidays with all of the traffic from Chicago. While Lutsen may have much older lifts, the Donner Triple was really slow, probably not much faster than 300 fpm. Honestly, I preferred the center-pole doubles at Devil's Head because they were quite a bit faster.

Most of this yes. I don't believe that Baileys Beach is being removed, the Pulse was taken out last year, and there will be a surface lift built for terrain park access. Squaw put out a video a while ago outlining this years lift work. http://www.youtube.c...v=rMxlGRXZZGo#!

Today on Facebook, Snowbird mentioned that they are trying to sell the Little Cloud lift to a resort on the East coast.
