Mt. Snow painted chair #50 on all their lifts gold for their 50th anniversary. They were so popular that they kept them and have continued the tradition with new lifts.

That makes sense. Interesting Tradition in my opinion.
Now all we need is snow! Its no fun skiing on machine made snow...

Just got SAM's Lift Issue and we missed a few from last summer:

Cataloochee, NC Doppelmayr triple replacing the Easy Way triple.
Villa Olivia, IL Doppelmayr quad replacing their center pole quad
Canada Oympic Park, AB Doppelmayr detachable quad replacing the Eastside Runner quad.

Looks like Bromont snuck in another lift....

Apparently it's a Poma fixed grip quad. Not sure if it's new or used, but since they're saying Poma I assume it's used.

Good catch. I found some pictures - definitely used. Anyone know where it came from?

Geez, it looks like they bought it from a McDonald's Playground. I vaugly recall them or somebody else buying a two used ones a couple year back. Might have been St. Sauvuer though. Anyway, I think one quad lift came from Mont Joye.

Ahh found it...

Did Mont Joye go under?

I only ask because it looks from their trail map that it only had three lifts, one aerial lift (the quad) and two surface lifts (t-bar and rope tow).

Yeah, my guess would be about 4 years ago. But I'm lousy at remembering years. I know they were open when I was in the area in 2004. Unfortunatly I didn't go over there for a few runs.
