I saw a couple of things they might have wanted to address, such as removing the push blocks from the carriers since they have no chains. Looks like they didn't replace any of the rails while the lift was out either (those do wear out over time). I'll be interested to see how that lift operates, since it's only the second of that kind to be re-installed. The new underskin looks nice, though. Those lifts are pretty noisy since they don't normally have one.

Update: As a matter of fact, the top terminal is finished, and just in time for what looks like some good skiing:

I've seen that design before (it was actually on a Yan), but these look slightly different, so I guess anything's possible. It seems like a cool/cost-effective design.

I wonder if the Sky Trac boys have been visiting France lately, perhaps BMF isn't the only folks they've been working with. These carriers look awfully GMMish....

That was the carrier used on the Yan lift I was referring to. They do look quite similar.

In case anyone was wondering what the inside of the "Birdhouse" (carrier storage barn) looked like, here is a pic from Mt. Snow's Facebook:

Song Mountain replaced its beginner J-Bar with a Doppelmayr double. I'm guessing it came used from Cranmore, NH.

My brother has friends who know the owner of Song. The new chair is the old doubble from Gunstock, NH http://www.skilifts....shy/gunshy.html
Here is a pic from earlier in November of the lift at Song

Some pics of the new 3 kings from Park City. Notice the towers and the paintings.

That came out really nice. Great idea to paint the Park City All-Stars on the towers of a dedicated terrain park lift. Might even deter people from putting stickers on the towers. How was the new location of the bottom terminal?

Moving the base up hill does allow more room for First Time, and can access it pretty easily if you ride down from resort base. For those who use the First time parking lot, it does put more people on First time who don't want to hike. Funny to hear the comments about the loading carpet for those who have never seen one before.

It's gonna look really bad when it's faded too. And it was an interesting choice to paint galvanized towers.

I think it's a nice way to dress up an otherwise pretty pedestrian lift. Consider the market too, nearly everyone who will be riding this lift is a teenage snowboarder. They'll love it

The "nice warm" weather here in New England has allowed Burke to stay on (or maybe even ahead of) schedule with the construction of the LP HSQ.

I haven't been able to get up ther to take my own pics but the mountain has been posting their own on Flickr.

That's where those were going. I saw the accel/decel banks going past Copper on I-70 a few weeks ago and didn't twig to the name Mid Burke Express'. Looks good so far.

Nice!

Here are some pics from last weekend. They have been load testing this week.

The wood panelling on the underside looks really nice.
