What's at the bottom terminal that required them to build it like that? It looks like it's right in the middle of a hillside by the train tracks

In answer to the question why is the lift built right beside some train tracks? - the answer is that the lift is being built as a transportation lift to take people from a train station to the ski resort

There is a pulse gondola in St. Thomas that has vertical bullwheels at the bottom station as well.

Wow.. I hope they don't have to carry a spare on the work deck! It doesn't look like there's enough room from the bottom terminal to the first support tower for all the negative sheave assemblies it would require to change the angle of the rope!

Looks nice, still think it should be called HEX. You guys really have been cooking on that lift from the beginning. Sure will be nice to not have scheduling and deadlines be too much of an issue on it... (least from the looks of the progress...)

Yup. Not sure when LM will start building it. The project is ahead of schedule by about a month so it's looking like end of Sep. Early Oct load test.

New logo for Leitner Poma? Not sure it's an upgrade, looks like it came out of the 70s.
I thought future Poma high speed quads were going to have the same terminal style as High Noon at Vail. Are other LP detachables this summer using the old design or the newer one?

This lift was ordered last year...I believe the owner wanted one similar to his other ones, this being the 3rd one installed there on this tiny hill. Very nice terminal, I toured it on Wednesday.

Similar to one of the others anyway. I know that the existing two are mis matched. One is a challenger, the other is an early omega.

The new logo was unveiled at the LPOA Annual Meeting in January, which celebrated 30 years in North America. Some felt it was time for a logo change and a new direction for the next 30 years.
Both Alpine Valley (who actually ordered their lift last year as stated by skier691) and Marmot Basin, AB got the last 2 Omega terminals as they already had this grip in service. The remainder are the LPA grip and terminal like High Noon at Vail.
