Seeing more and more of the myriad of sheaves we have in this industry (and even hearing stories about steel ones, glad those have been largely relegated to the bowels of history) I wondered if anyone had a preference on them. Do you prefer 1,2, or 3 piece sheaves? How about attachment of the pieces, bolt or snap ring work better? Obviously certain manufactures didn't give much choice, Riblet with two piece bolt togethers, Dopp with rings, Yan single piece (for the most part) but what have you experienced in terms of ease of use or easier to maintain? What seems to work better?

Thanks for the information... As I haven't really had any experience with BM lifts cause I'm in an area that honestly has none of them... What sort of sheave did they use?

Ive worked on Vonroll VR101s mainly..The 3 piece sheaves and the ill fated all steel sheaves. The steel sheaves are still in use on the vr 101 lifts in the Cheh Republic. These are allways a royal pain due to steel shavings. http://www.skilift-n...lbum=54&pos=133
