Just a note,
The drawing attached by vonroll101 is for a 1970's era VR-101 2 passenger left hand up grip.
Earlier versions included 1 large nut and cotter pin on the hanger block instead of the douoble bearing nut tab washer shown.
Earlier versions also had "f" style lock levers instead of the bar stock type and the grip cases were cast steel and not fabricated/welded as shown in the drawing.
The drawing also shows a nutted lifting roller axle, earlier versions were cotter pined.
There are also some other improvements that have been made over the years, I would have to look thru the Puyallup (1962 Seattle Fair) Skyride drawings.

Yes I do, as general manager of the Puyallup Skyride.
As I recall the springs was a 2 passenger grip (3 passenger cabins), does yours have the "F" lock lever or the bar stock type, and is it a cast case or welded?

The VR101 grip in the picture you see is a welded case. Its from the former Bronx Zoo Skyride. The other is a all cast with the F locking lever.25 mm jaws. Its from the 1962 Vonroll 2 passenger at the Aquarena Springs park..
