Also the sharp haul ropes were another idiotic necessity or they would have just made it to a tower in the first 1/2 hour of being stuck and movie over! OR, when the mystery safety rope breaks and the chair falls it could have landed on her head...more wolf food, lol.

The last half of the movie didn't suck as bad as the first half. My favorite part was the thread-all with a non-nylock nut and big flat washer that just appears as the chair mysteriously falls off the clip when the chair wiggles slightly.

I looked at the credits and didn't see "Technical Advisor" but I did come across Technocrane Operators. They were Bryan Fletchall and Jason Kay. I don't know if that is the same position or not.

No, those are what hold the cameras.

Technical Advisors are usually listed in the credits. Except in this case they probably didn't have one, or their advice wasn't taken, based on the above discussion. (I have not seen the movie).

Glad I streamed it online, wouldn't want to pay for such a dumb movie

so the girl gives the lifty $100, then they eat in the base lodge, so they could afford say $130-$140 but not lift tickets for night skiing.

How about when the moron finally gets down the tower and hops on a snowboard to slide down, um, his skis were right there

I watched it. I didn't want to at first but got it free from the library. Pretty lame! I wish they made more ski movies. I, for one, liked Aspen Extreme, and my wife loves Out Cold, haha. Of course, those aren't thrillers. But they would be if they had razor cables and wolves!

I believe at Steamboat I've seen them do the flipping up seats method on the Storm Peak Express. I've also seen that happen on the Avanti Express at Vail. Bear in mind, those are mid-mountain lifts.

I was skiing opening day at Snowbasin when the Middle Bowl triple chair broke down, a similar chair to the Wildcat chair (an old Thiokol triple) this movie was filmed on. Was about a 20 minute wait while the chair was stopped. I thought it was kind of funny that this movie came to mind while waiting for the chair to start back up.

All the chairlift illogicies are almost as bad as that cable car in Hoodwinked. I made a thread for that movie's cable car, but I've yet to hear a reply for it.
