Le Massif in Charlevoix Quebec, has announced a couple magic carpets, and a new short beginner lift.
The big announcement is the new Doppelmayr Gondola 8 passenger with Omega Cabins. It will be 2843m long. It will also include a mid station (possibly angle station) about a 1/3 of the way up. Should be operational this coming season.

I'm not sure of the vertical but probably around 2200feet

I read there is a triple chair going in at a new resort called Grande Mountain Village in Grande Cache, Alberta.

New Leitner-Poma 6-pack for Hunter NY next year. Along with a new quad the year after on the West side, may be the refurbished quad from the front. It's had some breakdown troubles in recent years.

Lots of new listings for lifts for sale on Summit Lift Co.

Montjoye, Quebec must be replacing that quad with something.

From the Sugarloaf forum: "Nothing official yet, but an announcement could be made soon, looks like spillway could happen this summer. John Kircher has been here and isn't blind like Steve."

Interesting about a possible Sugarloaf move. I would think Boyne would have their plate full with the Summit at Snoqualmie lifts, and the Crystal gondola, but perhaps they are very good at multitasking all these lifts. It will be interesting to see how much of all this actually gets finished by opening day.

I think the snoqualmie lifts are questionable at best. The only official Boyne announcement has been the Crystal gondola.

We will know on May 1 if the Hyak triple is going to be installed. I had heard in Feb that the company contracted by LoupLoup to install the used quad was being used to install the used triple and the work was to start May 1 (Loup Loup employee had mentioned it to me). If May rolls around and no work starts, then I'd have to say they are skipping Snoqualmie. I'm a little worried since there has been no news about the Hyak lift. You'd think if they were planning the lift for sure they would announce it to help get season tickets rolling. No news is bad news IMO.

I mentioned this elsewhere, but word has it that Crystal's chair 1 rope and carriers are going to Hyak for an unnamed lift. That sounds like they're putting something in.

That would indicate a removal of Chair 1?

Got the early word (Summit will officially announce this tomorrow). Hyak gets 2 lifts this summer. Triple on the front and double on the back. They are removing the small chair (Little Gold) to use parts for the Hidden Valley lift. This map is from the ski area and shows the plans for next season.

Looks like Washington State might have more lift projects than anywhere else in North America. Just goes to show the difference between places that depend on real estate sales vs. skiers.

That's good news, I wonder if they'll increase the operating schedule with the new lifts over there. Any word on that?

Does anyone know anything about the status of the following 4 projects?

Iron Mountain at The Canyons
Deer Crest at Deer Valley
Outback at Mt. Bachelor
Legends Express at Durango

These are on the list but I'm inclined to remove them since there have been no official announcements.

I'd leave Iron Mountain on since it's on the trail map as 2010-11. They also managed to sneak in a lift on us for two years running. Durango would surprise me if it happened this year, the other two wouldn't.

Edelweiss Valley , in Quebec.

The old Kidderbrook quad from Stratton Vermont may finally get installed here. Just went by yesterday and the old poma double chair has been taken down, towers and all. Only reason would be if they plan to go ahead with installing the kidderbrook this year.

The lifties this season said it would happen this summer but they also said the same last year. Looks like it will finally happen.

Not exactly, as the towers and terminals are going to remain at this time. I haven't heard if they're just in vertical storage, or if the lift will be reassembled at some point in the future.

Word on the Sugarloaf forum is that John Kircher was in town and now quad replacements of Spillway and Timberline are in the works, possibly for this summer.
