Perhaps if we put the touch on some wealthy friends - took up a collection, so to speak - we could get together and finally run a resort the way it should be run. Employee owned, of course.
Anyone friendly with a drug dealer? Wall Street schnook? Las Vegas building contractor?

Even if you picked it up for under 2 million I'm not sure how feasible that resort is. I mean you have Brianhead to compete against, which is in far better shape infrastructure wise, as well as being closer to the population you're competing for. Beyond that Elk Meadow's infrastructure may be in a condition that requires a ton of repair and maintenance that it hasn't had in the past over five years that it hasn't been used. Although I like the idea of a coop between skilift.org members in order to work a proper resort, I'm not sure we could afford the operating and repair cost that Elk Meadows may entail, beyond the fact that it may be that the demand isn't even there in the end run anyway...
Just my two cents, that and $ 1,479,999.99 will buy you the resort...

Sorry to say that $300,000 in back taxes are also needed.
Since Brian Head helps pay my mortgage, I shouldn't comment further on the competition aspect - though I think it could be better than you suggest.
There are a lot of ways that a resort "down the road" could outclass Brian Head.

No thanks, we would all become corrupted by the power and prestige, forgetting all the things we've learned everything.
Before long we would be just like them, in charge...

Sigh... you're probably right. I'll retract my bid.

I was wondering what was happening with elk meadows, we sold them a Yan double about 9 years ago. Removing it was one of the first projects I worked on when I started here.
This lift was load tested last Sunday - new electricals, beautiful operator shacks. Photos sometime.
All lifts have now been recertified. The area will be opening this season as Eagle Point.
