I'm not really surprised that their making lifts, although I thought I heard that Dopp bought the designs for Brovig and Partek so they couldn't make lifts anymore. Must have been more to that agreement than meets the eye.

Sun Valley's new gondi really looks nice. The terminal fits in well with it's surroundings, in my opinion.

New Leitner Poma lift going in in France... can't pronounce the name of ski area though! The lift is called Blue Moon. I like the cedar siding on it..

25 towers for White Pass' new lifts went up yesterday. No tower heads this year it appears. They must have something to cover the tops for this winter so water doesn't get in.

this is the middle flat section of the snowbowl. Anybody know what those concrete anchors are for on either side of the big hold down tower?

Tower 11. The light side is raised to bring it over the rock ledge. The double didn't have this so all I can figure it because of the triple's extra width it was necessary. in the second picture you can see the difference between where the double chair's base tower was as opposed to the triple.

Oddly enough we call them "pull down anchors" They are a requirement of the Z98 here, I'm not sure if they are a B77 requirement.

the one steamboat buildings & plaza are scheduled to open to the public by january, the top terminal of the wildhorse gondola will be on this plaza (with 2 levels of parking below it). snowmaking has started on stampede, vogue & in the basher park. hopefully this current storm will help a bit too!

Cool beans, thanks! So the whole building including the plaza will not open until January ... I hate it when the plans call for mid-winter openings, but it is a sorely needed addition, nonetheless.
