Not much other than the chair is removed at the middlebury college snowbowl. The said dopp-ctec will be onsite in two weeks and the construction should start within three.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. I would have thought Sun Valley would have some kind of parking/storage for the cabins, like Snow Basin has. Aren't the cabins pretty pricy now days?

There are pieces for a small parking rail in the River Run parking lot, but nothing that could hold more than a few cabins. The ultimate plan is for the top terminal that is being built right now to become a midstation, with a second stage replacing Christmas to the top. Perhaps they are waiting until this section is complete to build a cabin parking structure?

I stopped by Moonlight Basin today and took a few pictures of the Stagecoach lift. It was started last summer and doesn't appear to be on track to be finished this summer. At one point the towers just stop and I couldn't find any top terminal area. Anyone know where this Doppelmayr double came from? I'm thinking it's the former Backside double from Fortress, Alberta.

Here are some pictures of Gunstock's new chair lift taken today. The new Doppelmayr-CTEC "Eco" lift is about 1200 feet long and will serve four new beginner trails. Its located immediately next to another Gunstock beginner chair "Gunshy". Gunstock is still reporting the new lift will be a quad but I've heard second hand they may use some of their Doppelmayr triple chairs from the old summit lift. This plan may still require new grips as the new rope on the spool is only 36mm. The old summit lift likely had a much bigger rope. We'll have to wait and see. The tower cross arms are new but the tubes are from the Gunstock bone yard. The assembly in the close up doesn't look new and could also be from Gunstock's collection of spare Doppelmayr parts.

The riblet double at eaglecrest is nearing completion. It uses center support carriers as compared to the other lifts there which use bail style carriers.

I can tell that those are old because they use a different type of sheave frame than what is currently made.

Me, too. I had good memory of old riblet chairlifts when I was teenager and rode these chairlifts. Alta (Alboin Lift) and Park City (Town Lift) are still have riblet chairlifts stand. In the near future, I guess the old riblet chairlifts will be disappearted...What do you think?

Albion at Alta is a L/E and Town at Park City is a CTEC. I know Brighton was mostly Riblet lifts a while back.

Steering us back a little more on topic, here's a shot off of Berkshire East's website of towers for their new/old Triple chair replacing the Diamond lift:

Hiked around Middlebury College Snowbowl on friday and snapped some pix of the new triple construction. The tower foundations are in the process of being dug out and concrete being put in. The drive station supports are in the lower parking lot also. Here's some pictures.
