Les Harris

Emax's Photo Emax 03 Dec 2006

Those who know or can recall former Polish Mafia member Les Harris might be interested in his latest project. Les is what you'd call a "gourmet mechanic" who does special projects for special people. This current one is a 66 GTO - a pavement-up reconstruction with some added ponies. Note the powdercoating everywhere.

I'll say. That engine looks too pretty to actually run.

I doubt that anyone on this forum could afford one of Les's creations - but a sawbuck or two might get you one of his new Tee Shirts. PM tirefireking.
Mine was complimentary for designing the logo.

Wow, quite the GTO!

I doubt the engine is the original size, either, eh?

The three duces are neat and, of course, quite "period".

Full engine run in today - from the dash. This thing is full on chicken skin badness! I wish you could hear it. Grabs R’s that they’re on special! Still some work to go but exhaust heat sure helps the motivation. I found a compromise with the tach by loading the spring against the pot. I think it will be fine since the driver won’t be able to focus on it. I’ll keep you posted. I can’t wait to destroy some tires with this one…….it is really throttle crispy!!!

Les

NICE Les. Damned NICE. As your logo says... Ass with Class

Wow! :shocking:

That is one beautiful machine. They did an absolutely amazing job on the frame off.

Very very very nice!

And that's a 350 under the hood? I think?

Always thought that the 6-pack came on 389s. I never understood why a convertable had AC but I've lived in Colorado all my life.

Was just reading through this and thought I'd mention for those who didn't know - we lost Les to cancer a year ago.

Tirefireking was one hell of a builder.
