Looks like a beautiful lift. Very nice pictures. I have two questions about this. Why are some of the towers painted black and others painted white? And will the Ski Team lift run this winter with the detach in place?

I know it's for sale, on MRL's website. I think on a previous post, I can't remember who mentioned it, something about just leaving it in place until it is sold.

I doubt Ski Team is ever going to run again, even if Crescent goes down. They didn't run it too often in the last few years, and they probably would have removed it if someone bought it in time. The windows on the bottom shack are boarded up. I'm surprised they showed it on the map for this year

We showed up today to about a foot of fresh and had at least another foot, probably closer to 18" fall while we did the test. The guys we hired to load and unload the chairs (water in plastic bags in cardboard boxes) showed up in Levi's and denim Carhart jackets. Soaking wet with a high temp of about 20 F.

I was skiing at the mtn on the 19th. Meadows was turning but no signs of load testing going on. They needed the lift running on that day though. It was six tickets for the price of one day and the crowds showed up.

I finally go to ride meadows. As predicted they didn't run the lift at 550 fpm all day.

The chair appears to be a 4 place - which by ANSI Standard can only run at 450 FPM. Am I missing something? A Load/Unload Carpet with Variance?

It has a loading carpet. Variance, I don't know??? They onlly claim it to be faster than the old Meadows. I like the second pic. Nothing special, but where that tower is, the old lift had 3 towers: a depress, hold up, depress, that was known to derail time and again, and was NO fun to fix.

There was something about the old lift--maybe all of the towers--that made Boyne seem longer and more old-fashioned. The new lift is nice, but it will never be the same. Still love it there, though.

From the video on boyne's website, it looks like that chair really rips for a fixed grip lift.

The new lift makes the run feel a lot longer since it goes further down the hill. It is a good addition to Boyne's lift system. Plus there isn't a shortage of old lifts there. They still have hemlock running which seems amazing to me.

It goes fast but I don't think it was running at full speed when I was there. Maybe they will run it at full speed when their clientele gets used to the loading carpet.
